A home fragrance should support how a room is used. The scent you enjoy in an entrance hall may not be the one you want around a dining table or beside a work desk.

Follow the instructions for your exact oil and diffuser. Do not substitute body oil for diffuser oil or assume that all home-fragrance liquids are compatible. Begin with the manufacturer's recommended settings and reassess how the space feels. A room that smells pleasant on arrival does not need to become stronger throughout the day. Choose something comfortable for everyday living rather than only a dramatic first impression.
