If you keep adding perfumes to your wishlist but struggle to choose, start with a purchasing brief. A few clear decisions can make browsing more enjoyable and help you avoid buying the same kind of fragrance repeatedly.

Write one sentence

Describe the job you want the fragrance to do: a soft everyday scent for shared spaces, a fresh weekend option, or a warmer evening fragrance. Include any strong dislikes. That sentence is more useful than a long list of fashionable notes.

Set a shortlist and budget

Compare a small number of candidates and decide how much you want to spend on discovery before browsing larger sizes. Include delivery when comparing baskets. Do not let a promotion turn a focused purchase into several uncertain ones.

Make the final choice after wearing

Try the most promising option during a normal day, then repeat it. If you like only its opening, keep looking. If you enjoy wearing it but already own something very similar, consider whether a small size is enough.
