A wedding fragrance needs to suit more than a photograph. You may be outdoors for part of the day, close to guests during the ceremony and seated beside people during a meal. Comfort matters throughout.
Rehearse your choice
Wear your shortlist during an ordinary full day before deciding. Note whether the fragrance remains enjoyable through the afternoon and evening. Avoid making your first full application on the wedding morning, when changing your mind becomes inconvenient.
Think about clothing and company
Do not experiment by spraying unfamiliar perfume onto delicate wedding fabrics. Follow garment care advice and apply carefully. Strong projection is not a requirement for a memorable fragrance; a more personal scent can suit close conversations better.
Keep touch-ups simple
A small, clearly labelled atomiser is easier to manage than a large bottle. Reapply only if needed and away from other guests. Your wedding scent can be a familiar favourite rather than a new purchase. If buying something new, give yourself enough time to sample it and receive the order without depending on last-minute delivery.
