The best date-night perfume is one you feel at ease wearing. No scent can guarantee attraction, and a fragrance described as seductive is still a matter of personal taste.

Match the distance and venue

A quiet dinner calls for a different level of presence from an outdoor celebration. Think about how close you will be sitting and how enclosed the space is. Soft woods, florals, musks and warmer sweet styles can all be appropriate when the application suits the setting.

Wear something familiar

An important evening is not the ideal first test of an unfamiliar fragrance. Its opening may be beautiful while the dry-down becomes too sweet or too strong for your taste. Give it a full wear beforehand so you know what to expect.

Let the fragrance settle

Apply before you leave rather than adding a large cloud at the restaurant. Carrying a small atomiser is convenient, but it is not a reason to reapply automatically. A subtle fragrance that feels natural to you can be a more enjoyable choice than the loudest perfume in your collection.

Explore your next scent

Browse Bloom & Belle's fragrance collection and check the selected size, concentration and format before ordering. Decants are supplied in smaller atomisers, not the original retail bottle.
