Cooler days can be a good opportunity to explore warmer-feeling fragrances, but a winter perfume does not have to be intensely sweet or smoky. Think about the impression you want rather than following a seasonal checklist.
Explore warmth in different forms
You might enjoy soft woods, spice, a rounded floral or a lightly sweet amber style. If dense gourmands feel too rich, consider a drier or more understated interpretation. Warmth and loudness are different qualities.
Consider indoor time
A chilly commute may end in a crowded heated room. Apply for the whole day rather than only the conditions outside your door. An expressive fragrance can become uncomfortable if you keep adding more before it has settled.
Try your existing collection first
Revisit a perfume you found too rich during summer before buying another bottle. It may now feel more comfortable. Seasonal rotation should help you use what you own, not create pressure to replace everything. If you do sample something new, compare it with a familiar favourite so you can tell whether it offers a genuinely different experience.
Explore your next scent
Browse Bloom & Belle's fragrance collection and check the selected size, concentration and format before ordering. Decants are supplied in smaller atomisers, not the original retail bottle.
